Signature mechanic

Voidskip teleports are fully invulnerable

Fediel warps with Voidskip — short hold to reposition, long hold to warp and follow up with an attack — and she cannot be hit at all while warping. A fully charged Voidskip flows into Miasma Hands, a continuous flurry of claw attacks. She works at both melee and range, and Primordial Fear petrifies enemies outright, which is one of the strongest control effects in the game.

Fediel is a flexible character who can go either as a melee or a ranged character. She has good utility, but players need time to get used to her kit. Her ability, Primordial Fear, is one of her best skills since it lets her Petrify her foes.— Game8 tier assessment

Support skills (passives)

  • Voidskip

Short hold to warp to a desired spot. Long hold to warp and launch a follow-up attack. Fediel can't be hit by foes while warping.

  • Miasma Hands

Allows Fediel to unleash a continuous flurry of claw attacks by repeatedly pressing following the attack of a fully charged Voidskip.

How to unlock

To unlock Fediel, you must progress through Endless Ragnarok's story until you receive special Crewmate Cards . You can then turn these cards in at Sierokarte’s Knickknack Shack to unlock Fediel.

Strengths

  • 1

    Invulnerable repositioning

Voidskip is both a movement tool and a dodge with no timing requirement — extremely strong in Defy Infinity.

  • 2

    Petrify control

Primordial Fear locks bosses down and creates free damage windows for the whole party.

  • 3

    Genuinely flexible range

SS tier partly because she never has a bad matchup — melee or ranged as the fight demands.

Weaknesses

  • 1

    Unusual kit to learn

Community consensus is that her controls take real time to internalise despite her power level.

  • 2

    Charge commitment

Fully charged Voidskip into Miasma Hands is a long sequence to be interrupted out of.

  • 3

    Late paid unlock

Obtained near the end of the Endless Ragnarok storyline, or via Crewmate Cards.

Sigil loadout — Fatebreaker

Fediel's Master Traits provides additional DMG Cap , ATK , and DEF based on the number of equipped Basic Stat, Attack, and Defense/Support Sigils, respectively. To maximize the stats that Fediel gets, we recommend equipping 5 Basic Stat Sigils , 3 Attack Sigils , and 2 Defense/Support Sigils . This provides enough ATK to reach the DMG Cap, while also providing enough survivability for the game's hardest content.

For the Basic Attack Sigils, we recommend taking Health and Stun Power . This provides enough HP alongside Greater Aegis and Aegis without going over Catastrophe Nova's limit. For the Attack Sigils, we recommend Fatebreaker Celestial Lumen , and Celestial Terra , while Improved Dodge and Steel Nerves are the best picks for Defense Sigils.

For the Subtraits of each Sigil, get the usual DMG Cap , Supplementary DMG , Potion Hoarder , Autorevive , and Guts . Additionally, equip important Traits like Uplift to help during fights. Lastly, equip Fediel's Unique Sigils Enchantress's Warpath and Enchantress's Awakening to round the build off.

Execution

Combos & rotation

  • Stomp, Claw, and Ball Combo (Endless Ragnarok)5 steps
    1. 1Use one of Fediel's stomp skills.
    2. 2Stomp at least three times to apply three stacks of DEF Down.
    3. 3Use one of Fediel's Miasma Hands skills. Alternatively, charge Voidskip and teleport beside the enemy.
    4. 4Attack the enemy with Miasma Hands ten times to stack Enhanced Combo Finisher to max.
    5. 5Perform the Combo Finisher five times, making sure to dodge cancel the animation to quickly fire off all five finishers.

Thanks to Fediel's Master Traits, she is able to empower her Combo Finishers , as well as fire them off in quick succession . This allows her to deal a lot of damage without much effort, and from relative safety thanks to being airborne.

  • Fediel Pre-DLC Combo5 steps
    1. 1Use one of Fediel's stomp skills.
    2. 2Stomp at least three times, especially if The Black's Warpath is equipped.
    3. 3Use one of Fediel's Miasma Hands skills. Alternatively, charge Voidskip and teleport beside the enemy.
    4. 4Attack the enemy with Miasma Hands.
    5. 5Perform a Combo Finisher to deal even more damage to the enemy.

Before entering Endless Ragnarok, the Stomp to Claw combo will be your main damage combo. The combo allows you to attack enemies with Fediel from a distance, before closing in and attacking with Miasma Hands. This combo takes full advantage of Fediel's Unique Sigils to deal as much damage as possible with her combo.

  • Fediel Can Attack in Ranged and Melee

Fediel is a flexible character in that she can attack both from range and in melee . This flexibility is great as it allows you to attack safely , while still giving you the ability to rush in and deal massive amounts of damage in melee.

While this may take some getting used to, knowing when to attack from afar and when to close in for the kill is an important part of mastering Fediel.

  • Use Skills to Instantly Start Stomping or Clawing

All of Fediel's skills can be chained into either her follow-up stomp attack or her Miasma Hands melee attack. As both of these attacks normally have a long build-up before they can be used, take advantage of the shortened combo to immediately deal damage.

  • Relocate Quickly Using Voidskip

Voidskip is Fediel's utility skill, which allows her to instantly warp from her current location to wherever she aims her Voidskip. As she cannot be hit while warping , you can use this ability to quickly relocate away from enemy attacks, or pass through enemy attacks without fear of being hit.

Kit

Skills

Recommended loadout — Sign of Calamity and Soul Breaker

Fediel's Skills allow her to either instantly perform follow-up stomps or instantly attack with Miasma Hands. Having a mix of the two skill types will help Fediel be flexible based on the current situation in battle. Sign of Calamity and Primordial Fear are good Miasma Hands skills, as the former is Fediel's gap closer, while the latter applies Petrified, which is a strong debuff.

On the other hand, Soul Breaker and Claws of Reversal are good Stomp skills to have. Soul Breaker helps Fediel create space between her and the enemy, letting her perform follow-up stomps safely. Claws of Reversal, on the other hand, is Fediel's parry skill, allowing her to counter an enemy's attack before stomping.

                  Party

Recommended team — The Captain, Cagliostro, and Zeta

Fediel will be serving as the team's main DPS, so make sure she is accompanied by support characters, as well as a secondary damage dealer. The Captain and Cagliostro are the most versatile support characters in the game, as they have multiple buffs, debuffs, and healing skills between them. This makes them perfect for supporting Fediel.

For the secondary damage dealer, Zeta is a great option, as the straightforwardness of her kit allows her to deal a large amount of damage, even when controlled by AI.
