Signature mechanic
Airborne attack loops that boost each other
Zeta high-jumps and then chains airborne loops by pressing attack with perfect timing, with each successive loop boosting her attack further. Land a loop finisher after three loops and you apply Arvess Fermare, a strong damage-amplifying ailment. The entire character is one timing-dependent aerial rotation, and it produces some of the highest damage in the game.
Zeta is one of the best DPS characters in the game thanks to her aerial combo. While the timing for her combo may take some getting used to, it is capable of dishing out large amounts of damage when done correctly. Additionally, she can also apply debuffs on the enemy, improving her overall utility.— Game8 tier assessment
Support skills (passives)
Accelerating Flare
Allows Zeta to create an airborne attack loop by pressing attack with perfect timing after high jumping. Each successive loop boosts her attack.
Arvess Resonance
Landing a loop finisher after performing 3 loop combos in a row inflicts the Arvess Fermare status ailment.
How to unlock
Players may unlock Zeta by using a Crewmate Card in Siero's Knickknack Shack in a town. You obtain Crewmate Cards by progressing through the main story.
Strengths
- 1
Elite damage output
S tier — the aerial loop is one of the strongest sustained damage patterns available.
- 2
Airborne safety
Being in the air dodges a surprising number of ground-based boss mechanics for free.
- 3
Arvess Fermare
Her signature ailment amplifies damage for the whole party, not just her.
Weaknesses
- 1
Tight timing windows
Dropping a loop means falling out of the rotation and rebuilding from the ground.
- 2
Loop-or-nothing
Her grounded damage is unremarkable, so bosses that knock you down hurt disproportionately.
- 3
Height-dependent
Enemies with low or awkward hitboxes make the aerial loop far harder to sustain.

The loop takes practice. Use the training room before committing Maniac runs to her.
Sigil priorities — Maniac
Damage cap is the only stat that scales here. Chase any DMG Cap trait you can roll, then critical hit rate, then raw attack.
- DMG Cap — on every sigil you can manage
- Critical Hit Rate — consistency beats spikes
- Stamina / Tyranny — cheap attack scaling
- Zeta's character sigil (single-trait version)
- Potion Hoarder — more healing per run
- Autorevive — a free second chance
- Improved Dodge — as a secondary trait, not a slot
- War Elemental — the moment a Curio gives you one
Skills to run: Infinite Wonders, Spear of Arvess, Vengeful Flames, Signo Drive — the same core carries all the way to endgame.
Gearing priorities
- Ascension or Stinger weapons, fully upgraded before you chase anything rarer
- Unlock every sigil slot via the Mastery tree, then Fate Episodes for the last two
- Any DMG Cap trait you can find — attack stats alone stop mattering fast
- Critical Hit Rate, Stamina and Tyranny to pad raw output
- Potion Hoarder and Autorevive so runs do not end early

Sigil loadout — Proud endgame
When it comes to Sigils, you will want to prioritize increasing Zeta's DMG and DMG Cap in various ways. Alpha and Gamma are particularly important Sigils as they increase her ATK DMG Cap and DMG Cap, respectively. Tyranny will provide a boost in ATK while also decreasing Zeta's max HP. This synergizes well with Cascade's activation requirements.
Getting DMG Cap is also a must, as this stacks with the DMG Cap boosts from Alpha, Gamma, and Catastrophe. Other good sigils to get include Stamina , which increases her ATK the higher her current HP is, as well as Supplemental DMG , which allows Zeta to deal additional damage on top of her capped damage.
For survivability, Potion Hoarder and Autorevive are good skills to have, especially in higher-level content. Getting her exclusive Sigils is also important, especially Crimson's Warpath , which maxes out her Critical Hit Rate and enhances the DMG she deals to enemies affected by Arvess Fermare.

Sigil loadout — Fatebreaker
Zeta's Master Traits provides additional DMG Cap , ATK , and DEF based on the number of equipped Basic Stat, Attack, and Defense/Support Sigils, respectively. To maximize the stats that Zeta gets, we recommend equipping 5 Basic Stat Sigils , 3 Attack Sigils , and 2 Defense/Support Sigils . This provides enough ATK to reach the DMG Cap, while also providing enough survivability for the game's hardest content.
For the Basic Attack Sigils, we recommend taking Health and Stun Power . The Health provides enough HP alongside Greater Aegis and Aegis without going over Catastrophe Nova's limit, while Stun Power helps you easily stun enemies for Link TIme. For the Attack Sigils, we recommend Fatebreaker Celestial Lumen , and Celestial Terra , while Improved Dodge and Steel Nerves are the best picks for Defense Sigils.
For the Subtraits of each Sigil, get the usual DMG Cap , Supplementary DMG , Potion Hoarder , Autorevive , and Guts . Additionally, equip important Traits like Uplift to help during fights. Lastly, equip Zeta's Unique Sigils Crimson's Warpath and Crimson's Awakening to round the build off.

For Zeta's Master Traits, invest heavily in Insight: Intense Loops as it empowers numerous aspects of her aerial combo. This includes providing a DMG buff whenever she lands Arvess Hammer, allowing her to launch back in the air after Arvess Hammer, and receiving the Loop Master buff after performing 3 or more loop combos.
Afterward, prioritize getting Traits that improve her combos and combo finishers , as well as those that improve her DMG Cap . Lastly, get the Traits that provide bonuses based on equipped Sigils , as the bonuses they give are substantial and can easily be maxed out .
Execution
Combos & rotation
Zeta Airborne Combo (Endless Ragnarok)7 steps
- 1Apply any self buffs and enemy debuffs to maximize damage.
- 2Apply Arvess Fermare on the enemy.
- 3Go airborne by either finishing a normal attack combo or by using certain skills.
- 4Loop the combo to stay airborne and deal more damage.
- 5After completing at least 2 loops, perform Arvess Hammer to reapply Arvess Fermare.
- 6After using Arvess Hammer, press normal attack again to launch yourself back into the air.
- 7Continue looping, remembering to use Arvess Hammer when needed to reapply Arvess Fermare before launching back into the air.
Zeta's Master Traits provide her with a stacking buff called Loop Master that increases her ATK and DMG Cap as long as she maintains her aerial combo. Additionally, her Master Traits let her continue her aerial combo after using Arvess Hammer, effectively allowing her to stay airborne indefinitely .
While this can take some getting used to, pulling it off allows you to keep the Loop Master stacks at maximum , increasing Zeta's overall damage output.
Zeta Best Combo Pre-DLC5 steps
- 1Apply any self buffs and enemy debuffs to maximize damage.
- 2Apply Arvess Fermare on the enemy.
- 3Go airborne by either finishing a normal attack combo or by using certain skills.
- 4Loop the combo to stay airborne and deal more damage.
- 5After completing at least 3 loops, perform Arvess Hammer to reapply Arvess Fermare
Zeta's best combo in the base game involves performing her loop combo over and over again to deal as much damage as possible. Each successive loop combo increases the damage she deals , so try to keep the combo going as long as possible. Once Arvess Hammer is available, perform it to refresh the combo and reapply Arvess Fermare . You can also use it if you feel like you’re about to drop the loop combo.
Apply Arvess Fermare As Much As Possible
Arvess Fermare increases the damage enemies take when Zeta attacks them. As such, always try to keep the debuff applied to maximize the damage Zeta deals.
You can apply Arvess Fermare either by performing an Arvess Hammer , or by using certain skills like Infinite Wonders and Realm's Majesty .
Go Airborne To Start Aerial Loop Combo
A chunk of Zeta's damage comes from her airborne loop combo. To go into the air and start the aerial combo, you can either complete her basic attack combo , use certain skills , or block an attack with Rhapsody .
Time Attacks Properly To Extend Her Combo
The damage that Zeta deals with her loop combo ramps up the more loops you perform. To extend the loop, you must press the attack button at the correct time to send Zeta airborne again and continue the combo.
There are two easy ways to know the timing for pressing the attack button. The first is by waiting for the tooltop to turn into Loop Combo . The second is by waiting for the blue star to appear on the enemy.
Take Advantage Of Rhapsody To Block Attacks
Rhapsody is one of Zeta's special mechanic which acts like an empowered shield. Blocking attacks with it allows her to deal an instance of damage to the enemy before launching herself into the air to perform a loop combo.
Take advantage of Rhapsody to instantly jump into the air with Zeta, bypassing the need to perform a full basic attack combo.

Skills
Recommended loadout — Infinite Wonders and Spear of Arvess
When it comes to skills, Infinite Wonders is one of Zeta's core skills as it applies Arvess Fermare , which increases the damage that enemies take. Spear of Arvess , on the other hand, allows you to skip Zeta's basic attack combo and go straight to her looping aerial combo.
Vengeful Flames is a buff skill that buffs Zeta with Supplementary DMG , which stacks on top of other Supplementary DMG sources. Lastly, Signo Drive is a teamwide ATK buff, increasing your entire team's damage output.
| Skill | Effect | Applies |
|---|---|---|
| Infinite WondersRecommended | Fires a piercing, multi-hit beam that can be activated up to 3 times in a row. Inflicts Arves Fermare on hit. | |
| Rain of Fury | Calls down a valley of spears from the sky. Spears inflict ATK↓ on hit. | |
| Realm's Majesty | Zeta readies to parry and counter. She inflicts Arvess Fermare upon countering and then high jumps off of the foe. | |
| Signo DriveRecommended | Grants ATK↑ to the entire party. | |
| Spear of ArvessRecommended | A fast spear lunge. Zeta jumps high off of a foe on impact. | |
| Thousand Flames | An explosive attack that deals damage, inflicts Burn, and removes 1 buff from foes in the blast radius. Hold while casting to aim. | |
| Vengeful FlamesRecommended | Grants Supplementary DMG to Zeta. | |
| Wingclipper | Zeta swings her spear 3 times in a row. Inflicts Paralysis on the third hit. |
Situational swaps: Wingclipper, Realm's Majesty. While progressing the game, Wingclipper is a useful skill to have thanks to its ability to apply Paralysis on enemies, preventing them from moving for a short duration. This does, however, fall in effectiveness in harder content as enemies become more resistant to status effects.

Cagliostro
Because Zeta will be your team's primary damage dealer, bring along characters that can provide support. The Captain, for example, can buff and heal allies while applying debuffs to enemies . Eugen, on the other hand, can help deal damage to enemies, especially airborne ones .
Lastly, Cagliostro will be the team's secondary support and DPS, as they are capable of casting damaging skills while also providing buffs to the team, going so far as to rescue allies in critical condition , making her a must-have in harder content.
