Signature mechanic

Dual stance gauges grant free enhanced skills

Fraux flips between Upright and Reversed stances, which changes her unique attacks and power strikes. Filling both stance gauges grants Strength Gains: three free skill activations, all enhanced. So the loop is deliberately alternating stances to fill both meters rather than camping the one you prefer, then dumping empowered skills. With the right defensive build she becomes extremely hard to kill.

Fraux is a straightforward character with a lot of utility in her skill set. With the right build you can make her virtually unkillable, which can make her an aggresive damage dealer.— Game8 tier assessment

Support skills (passives)

  • Dual Threat

Fraux can flip between Upright stance and Reversed stance. Her RMB attacks and power strikes change based on her stance.

  • Strength Gains

Fraux gains 3 free skill activations when both stance gauges are full. These skills are enhanced. Landing attacks and skills fills her gauges.

How to unlock

To unlock Fraux, you must progress through Endless Ragnarok's story until you receive special Crewmate Cards . You can then turn these cards in at Sierokarte’s Knickknack Shack to unlock Fraux.

Strengths

  • 1

    Free empowered skills

Strength Gains hands you three enhanced casts with no cooldown cost — a large, repeatable damage spike.

  • 2

    Can be built near-unkillable

Her utility supports a defensive build that still deals aggressive damage.

  • 3

    Conceptually simple

Straightforward for a stance character — alternate, fill, spend.

Weaknesses

  • 1

    Stance discipline required

Camping one stance starves the other gauge and locks you out of Strength Gains entirely.

  • 2

    Melee exposure

Her gauge-filling wants sustained contact, which is dangerous in Chaos++.

  • 3

    Paid DLC character

Requires Endless Ragnarok; obtained via her Seedhollow side quest line.

Sigil loadout — Fatebreaker

Fraux's Master Traits provides additional DMG Cap , ATK , and DEF based on the number of equipped Basic Stat, Attack, and Defense/Support Sigils, respectively. To maximize the stats that Fraux gets, we recommend equipping 5 Basic Stat Sigils , 3 Attack Sigils , and 2 Defense/Support Sigils . This provides enough ATK to reach the DMG Cap, while also providing enough survivability for the game's hardest content.

For the Basic Attack Sigils, we recommend taking Health and Stun Power . This provides enough HP alongside Greater Aegis and Aegis without going over Catastrophe Nova's limit. For the Attack Sigils, we recommend Fatebreaker Celestial Lumen , and Celestial Terra , while Improved Dodge and Steel Nerves are the best picks for Defense Sigils.

For the Subtraits of each Sigil, get the usual DMG Cap , Supplementary DMG , Potion Hoarder , Autorevive , and Guts . Additionally, equip important Traits like Uplift to help during fights. Lastly, equip Fraux's Unique Sigils Enchantress's Warpath and Enchantress's Awakening to round the build off.

For Fraux's Master Traits, invest heavily in Insight: Flip the Tides as it empowers her gauge flip mechanic and combos. This includes strengthening her combo finishers , applying a buff whenever she performs a Flip Kick, and applying even stronger buffs whenever she fills her gauges.

Execution

Combos & rotation

  • Gauge Fast Charge Combo4 steps
    1. 1Perform Fraux's Basic Attack combo until the Finisher becomes available.
    2. 2Perform the Finisher and the Flip Kick. This will make Fraux swap stances.
    3. 3Repeat the Basic Attack combo into Finisher and Flip Kick.
    4. 4Loop the combos until both gauges are full.

Fraux's main gameplay loop revolves around filling up both of her gauges before performing casting empowered Skills. The combo shown above is a fast way to charge up both of Fraux's gauges outside of using her skills.

  • Combo Remains the Same With Master Traits

Fraux's combo remains the same even with Master Traits, with her combo only getting stronger thanks to the buffs that the selected Traits provide.

  • Switch Stances To Fill Both Gauges

Fraux can swap between two stances, each with its respective Gauges. When Fraux is in the Upright Stance , she will perform fast-hitting combos and fill up the orange gauge . If Fraux is instead in the Reversed Stance , she will perform slow, but hard-hitting combos while filling up the blue gauge .

You can swap stances by clicking the Stance Flip special attack. This will damage enemies close to Fraux, while also swapping her stance.

  • Swap Stances Smoothly Using Combos

Alternatively, you can swap stances smoothly with Fraux by using her combos . When performing the Fast Charge combo shown above, Fraux will swap stances mid-combo , allowing you to fill up both gauges without any downtime.

  • Use Strength Gain to Cast Empowered Skills

Once both gauges are full, Fraux activates Strength Gains . When Strength Gains activates, Fraux can cast three of her skills for free , even if they are on cooldown. Additionally, the skills that she casts are enhanced , improving their damage output and effects.

Take note that once you have used a skill while in Strength Gains, you cannot use that skill again during that instance of Strength Gains.

Skills

Recommended loadout — Splendor and Indominus

Splendor and Indominus are two of Fraux's strongest skills, as, thanks to her ability to cast empowered versions of her skill for free, she can indefinitely stack Shields and reapply Drain. This allows her to mitigate a lot of damage, which, if done right, can make her unkillable.

For other skills, All Fall Down is a good damaging skill that can apply DEF down on enemies, which now stacks with other sources of DEF down. Opportunity Knocks , on the other hand, is a good gap closer for when the enemy is far.

SkillEffectApplies
All Fall DownRecommendedSummons The Devil to lob fireballs at frontal foes. On hit, inflicts DEF↓ and removes 1 buff from foes.
Crimson NightmareSummons The Devil to create an explosion in the direction Fraux is facing. On hit, inflicts Slow.
Dead LandsSummons The Devil to pummel frontal foes. Hold while summoning to prolong duration.
IndominusRecommendedSummons The Devil to crush frontal foes. On hit, grants Drain to Fraux.
Kick FaceFrax readies to parry and counter.
Opportunity KnocksRecommendedPerforms a mult-hit forward flying kick.
Power PlantLeaps backward into the air and summons The Devil to launch a devastating fireball at frontal foes.
SplendorRecommendedCasts an expanding circle of fire that damages surrounding foes and grants Shield to Fraux.

Situational swaps: Crimson Nightmare, Dead Lands, Power Plant.Crimson Nightmare is a good alternate skill if you want to include more debuffs to Fraux's kit. Crimson Nightmare applies Slow on enemies in front of Fraux, making it perfect against bosses you want to keep in place. Alternatively, you can equip skills like Dead Lands or Power Plant if you want to deal more damage.

                  Party

Recommended team — The Captain, Cagliostro, and Zeta

Fraux will be your primary damage dealer, so partner her with characters that can provide both offensive and defensive support. The Captain , for example, has both buffs and debuffs in their kit, making them perfect for strengthening Fraux and weakening foes. Cagliostro , on the other hand, can not only apply the unique buff Phantasmagoria to her allies, but she can also provide healing, as well as rescue allies in a critical state.

Having another DPS character in the team is helpful, with Zeta as the best damage dealer, even when controlled by AI.
