Signature mechanic

Turbine spin plus Deathmatch Finale

Gallanza fills the Silver Wolf gauge with combo finishers and link attacks, then enters Deathmatch Finale where his damage climbs and Turbine ++ becomes easier to reach. Vengeful Turbine makes the final swing of his charged attack deflect an incoming attack outright, nullifying the damage and countering. He is a straightforward, high-damage frontliner with a built-in defensive answer.

Gallanza offers really great damage and is also one of the no-brainer characters to use. He might have a hard time with bosses that move a lot, like Furycane, but he can be good for wave-survival quests.— Game8 tier assessment

Support skills (passives)

  • Stronger of Might

Allows Gallanza to enter Deathmatch Finale once the Silver Wolf gauge is full. Landing combo finishers and link attacks fills the gauge.

  • Vengeful Turbine

After releasing Gallanza's charged attack, the final swing deflects a foe's attack to nullify the damage and counter.

How to unlock

After finishing the Rule the Skies quest in Chapter 0 , you can visit Folca to get a special cutscene where Gallanza and Maglielle will announce that they will help Id as well as the Captain on their journey. After the cutscene, you will be given Crewmate Card: Gallanza and Crewmate Card: Maglielle .

Strengths

  • 1

    Great damage for the effort

A no-brainer character — very high output without demanding execution.

  • 2

    Built-in counter

The Turbine deflect turns his commitment window into a defensive option rather than a liability.

  • 3

    Excellent in wave content

Spinning AoE makes him a standout in survival and add-heavy quests.

Weaknesses

  • 1

    Struggles against mobile bosses

Fights like Furycane pull away from his spin, wasting most of the damage.

  • 2

    Release timing matters

Turbine has to be released in time or you lose both the damage and the counter.

  • 3

    Paid DLC character

Requires Endless Ragnarok, though granted free after unlocking Very Hard quests.

Gear

Builds by progression stage

Chaos → Chaos+ → Chaos++, then Defy Infinity

Turbo Turbine. Gladiator's Warpath in Deathmatch Finale reduces the perfect attacks needed for Turbine ++.

Sigil loadout — Fatebreaker

A major part of the build involves using Basic , Attack , and Defense Stat-type Sigils to maximize Gallanza's Master Traits that provide DMG Cap , ATK , and DEF . Additionally, new traits in Endless Ragnarok such as Fatebreaker , Celestial Lumen , and Celestial Terra all provide additional DMG Cap.

Cascade and Uplift are important for both Skill and SBA uptime. Greater Aegis and Aegis both increase your HP, but make sure not to cross the 200,000 limit for Catastrophe Nova. Lastly, Steel Nerves synergizes with the Stout Heart trait from your summons , and provides a passive increase to your DEF.

Gearing priorities

  • Transcended Terminus (T.Lvl 7): Catastrophe Nova, DMG Cap, Sigil Booster, Unbound Master
  • While progressing Chaos, a transcended Defender weapon usually beats an un-transcended Terminus
  • The standard template: 5 Basic-Stat + 3 Attack + 2 Defense/Support sigils
  • Fatebreaker V+, Celestial Lumen V+ and Celestial Terra V+ in the attack slots
  • Improved Dodge+ and Steel Nerves V+ for survivability that does not cost damage
  • Summons for their traits: War Elemental, Stout Heart, Berserker Echo, Spartan Echo

Over Mastery bonuses

  • Attack Power Up
  • Critical Hit Rate Up
  • Skill Damage Cap Up
  • Normal Attack Damage Cap Up

Focus on getting Normal Attack Damage Cap Up and Critical Hit Rate Up to make Gallanza's Turbine damage more consistent. Attack Power Up is a good generic stat that can increase your overall damage, and Skill Damage Cap Up is useful since Gallanza has several attack skills that can provide decent damage.

For Gallanza's Master Traits, we recommend focusing on the Turbo Turbine style to maximize his Turbine++ damage. Though using his skills with Put On a Show technically deals more damage, this setup offers a more tanky and consistent playstyle that is easier to use.

For the other styles, get nodes that provide bonuses based on equipped Sigils and additional DMG Cap to maximize damage.

Combos & rotation

  • Gallanza Turbine Combo (Endless Ragnarok)6 steps
    1. 1Initiate with Dashing Lancer
    2. 2Apply DEF down with Cyclone Skullsplitter if possible
    3. 3Use Deathmatch Finale
    4. 4Do perfectly timed Normal Attacks until Turbine++ is available
    5. 5Use the full duration of Turbine++
    6. 6Release Turbine++ when Gallanza glows

Gallanza's main damage source is Turbine++ , which is available only when he is in the Deathmatch Finale state. To reach this state, you must fill up his Silver Wolf gauge by landing attacks or using the Deathmatch Finale skill.

  • Release Turbine in Time

A major mechanic to keep in mind is to make sure not to hold onto the Turbine attack for too long. When held for too long, Gallanza will get dizzy and become incapacitated for a few seconds.

  • Gap Close with Combo A

Aside from the Dashing Lancer skill, you can also use the first part of Combo A as a gap closer . Combo A includes using only 1 Normal Attack before using 1 Unique Attack.

Skills

Recommended loadout — Deathmatch Finale

Your main skill is Deathmatch Finale , as this can instantly chain into your strongest combo. Additionally, Explosive Plunge is a great 2-hit damage skill that you can weave into your attacks.

For utility, Cyclone Skullsplitter is a useful skill that can apply DEF down to enemies, which will increase your team's overall damage. Lastly, Dashing Lancer is an additional gap closer you can use to chase high movement enemies.

Recommended team — The Captain, Cagliostro, and Siegfried

Since Gallanza is a brawler that will spend most of his time up close with enemies, it is best to team him up with allies that can further buff his damage and provide support through buffs.

The Captain and Cagliostro both have access to several support skills that can apply team buffs, enemy debuffs, and healing. Siegfried can be a secondary DPS that can also apply enemy debuffs and DEF up to the team.
