Signature mechanic
Roses level up and buff the whole team
Rosetta plants roses that attack independently and level up as they land hits; Overgrowth then converts the highest-level rose into party-wide buffs whenever she uses a combo finisher. The endgame Battlefield Cultivator loop is about placing roses efficiently, dodge-cancelling the placement animation, and keeping finishers flowing to refresh buffs. She is a setup character in a game that often does not give you setup time.
Rosetta is a reliable healer but a poor attacker, especially against mobile enemies. Despite her high support capabilities, she has relatively low base damage and requires proper rose setups to deal damage if used as a DPS.— Game8 tier assessment
Support skills (passives)
Rose Garden
Rosetta plants roses that attack foes within range. Roses level up as they hit foes, enhancing their capabilities.
Overgrowth
Planted roses grant various buffs to their entire party whenever Rosetta uses a combo finisher. The highest leveled rose determines effect strength.
How to unlock
Players may obtain Rosetta upon progressing through the first chapter of the main story.
Strengths
- 1
Strong sustained party buffs
Overgrowth buffs scale with rose level and refresh on every finisher, giving high uptime once established.
- 2
Reliable healing
One of the more dependable healers in the roster for parties without Cagliostro.
- 3
Zone control
Roses keep damaging a stationary target while you reposition, which is rare for a support.
Weaknesses
- 1
Poor personal damage
Low base damage means a DPS-built Rosetta is a compromise even with perfect rose setups.
- 2
Hard countered by mobile bosses
Roses are stationary — against anything that repositions constantly, half her kit is wasted.
- 3
Slow ramp
Roses need time to level, so short burst windows and DPS checks favour almost anyone else.

Builds by progression stage
Zegagrande Legend — Maniac quests, first Proud attempts
A capable early healer. Place roses before pulls rather than during them.
Sigil priorities — Maniac
Damage cap is the only stat that scales here. Chase any DMG Cap trait you can roll, then critical hit rate, then raw attack.
- DMG Cap — on every sigil you can manage
- Critical Hit Rate — consistency beats spikes
- Stamina / Tyranny — cheap attack scaling
- Rosetta's character sigil (single-trait version)
- Potion Hoarder — more healing per run
- Autorevive — a free second chance
- Improved Dodge — as a secondary trait, not a slot
- War Elemental — the moment a Curio gives you one
Skills to run: Rose Tycoon, Iron Maiden, Spiral Rose, Rose Barrier — the same core carries all the way to endgame.
Gearing priorities
- Ascension or Stinger weapons, fully upgraded before you chase anything rarer
- Unlock every sigil slot via the Mastery tree, then Fate Episodes for the last two
- Any DMG Cap trait you can find — attack stats alone stop mattering fast
- Critical Hit Rate, Stamina and Tyranny to pad raw output
- Potion Hoarder and Autorevive so runs do not end early
Weapons to use
No Terminus yet. Fully upgrade whichever of Rosetta's standard weapons you can forge — the Collection Mastery passives from levelling every weapon matter more right now than which one you hold.
- Egoism — HP, Garrison
- Love Eternal — ATK, HP
- Cortana — Weak Point DMG, Break Assassin
- Rose Crystal Knife — Critical Hit Rate, Critical DMG
- Sword Breaker — Stun Power, Linked Together
Proud quests, Bahamut's Rage, Lucilius (Quest Zero)
Play her as pure support and let your AI DPS carry; her damage build is not worth the sigil investment yet.
Sigil loadout — Proud endgame
Beta and Gamma Sigils are essential for directly boosting your damage cap and Skill damage . Additionally, use Rose's Blooming to increase the attack rate of your plants. We are also looking to build a lot of cooldown reduction for Skills and SBA through traits such as Cascade, Linked Together, Nimble Onslaught, and Quick Cooldown.
For more damage, Glass Cannon and Tyranny provide a lot of attack, but require a good understanding of boss attack patterns to avoid getting hit. War Elemental and Supplementary DMG allow Rosetta to deal more damage by providing elemental advantage and additional hits.
For survivability, Potion Hoarder and Autorevive are great layers of defense for when you do get hit by enemy attacks.

Gearing priorities
- Terminus weapon, fully upgraded and awakened — Catastrophe wants max HP at or below 45,000
- Alpha+, Beta+ and Gamma+ from Lucilius drops for stacked damage cap
- Character Awakening+ and Warpath+ sigils via Transmute and Transmarvel
- War Elemental+ so every hit counts as superior element
- Supplementary Damage V+ and Berserker Echo+ to punch through the cap

Over Mastery bonuses
- Critical Hit Rate Up

- Normal Attack Damage Cap Up
- Skybound Art Damage Cap Up
For Over Masteries, Skill Damage, and Normal Attack Damage Cap Up are ideal since these would directly boost the damage of Rosetta's plants. Critical Hit Rate Up will help you deal critical hits more consistently. Skybound Art Damage Cap Up lets you deal more damage with SBA since we aim to have it up constantly.

The Primal Dagger of Bahamut Coda is Rosetta's Terminus Weapon and is her best weapon to equip. Since this build has Rosetta as a DPS, she benefits greatly from the Catastrophe trait, as it provides ATK and DMG Cap.
Chaos → Chaos+ → Chaos++, then Defy Infinity
Battlefield Cultivator. Learn the dodge-cancel on rose placement — without it her uptime in Chaos++ is far too low.
Sigil loadout — Fatebreaker
This build leans into improving Rosetta as a DPS character while meeting certain health thresholds to activate other better-performing traits and Mastery Traits.
Her Mastery Trait has a node that requires equipping a Basic Stats-type Sigil for a 20% damage cap, so we recommend equipping her with 2 Healths and 3 Stun Powers to obtain the 100% damage cap increase that it will provide.
To increase her damage output any further, equip Fatebreaker , Celestial Lumen , and Celestial Terra . Go for Improved Dodge and Steel Nerves for better survivability.

Gearing priorities
- Transcended Terminus (T.Lvl 7): Catastrophe Nova, DMG Cap, Sigil Booster, Unbound Master
- While progressing Chaos, a transcended Defender weapon usually beats an un-transcended Terminus
- The standard template: 5 Basic-Stat + 3 Attack + 2 Defense/Support sigils
- Fatebreaker V+, Celestial Lumen V+ and Celestial Terra V+ in the attack slots
- Improved Dodge+ and Steel Nerves V+ for survivability that does not cost damage
- Summons for their traits: War Elemental, Stout Heart, Berserker Echo, Spartan Echo

Rosetta's best weapon is her Transcended Terminus, Primal Dagger of Bahamut Coda . This comes with Catastrophe Nova , which will grant a huge boost in ATK and DMG Cap, provided that Rosetta's HP is equal to or below 200,000 . She will benefit from a separate DMG Cap trait, along with a Sigil Booster that will raise the levels of the Sigils equipped to her. The Unbound Master trait can increase the damage that she will be able to inflict during her Skybound Art.

While progressing through the DLC, a good weapon alternative will be Egoism , one of the best transcended weapons for Rosetta. It has an increased damage cap via DMG Cap Ecru, as well as defensive traits such as HP and Greater Aegis. These features make it an excellent weapon with a good mix of offensive and defensive properties.

This distribution considers Master Level 50.
Rosetta works well with Essence: Battlefield Cultivator , primarily due to her stacking debuffs and Supplementary DMG boost, including the other members in the team. It is also easier to activate when faced with a fast-moving foe, since she will rely more on her combo rather than her skills.
For all of her Mastery Traits, you will want to aim for the nodes that will grant her DMG Cap, ATK, and DEF boosts based on the number of a specific Sigil equipped, since they can stack up and increase her performance in battle.
Execution
Combos & rotation
Battlefield Cultivator Combo (Endless Ragnarok)
Begin the usual combo from the base game: summon Rose Tycoon, follow it with Spiral Rose, then quickly buff Rosetta up with Iron Maiden. Keep executing Combo D on the boss. Whenever an extra attack lands during a Combo Finisher, this will debuff the enemy with lower ATK and DEF.
Iron Maiden Combo Pre-DLC6 steps
- 1Make sure 3 roses are planted in the arena
- 2Summon roses around a boss with Rose Tycoon
- 3Use Spiral Rose to start the attack
- 4Use Iron Maiden
- 5Use Combo D, which consists of 4 Normal Attacks and 1 Unique Attack combo finisher
- 6Repeat Combo D and use skills when off cooldown.
Rosetta's strongest combo involves using all of her skills on a relatively immobile enemy to maximize her damage output. Make sure to always use Combo D since this applies a buff that increases your roses' damage .
Know Her Rose Buffs
You will notice Rosetta with different colored marks on her feet and on her roses. These colors indicate a type of buff that is applied to your whole team when within a rose's radius. You can choose what buff to have active by using its respective number of Normal Attacks before a combo finisher.
Dodge Cancel Her Rose Placement
Placing roses locks you in an animation , and moving too early will cancel your rose placement. You can skip this by dodging immediately after the circle appears underneath Rosetta. With this, you can get out of the animation sooner while still placing your roses.
Kit
Skills
Recommended loadout — Rose Tycoon and Spiral Rose
Rosetta's kit revolves around delivering continuous attacks with her plants . Thus, Rose Tycoon and Spiral Rose are mandatory skills to have since they allow Rosetta to attack with her plants.
Additionally, Iron Maiden is needed for a DPS build since this skill grants Stout Heart and Iron Maiden. Stout Heart allows you to focus purely on attacking, and Iron Maiden allows you to coordinate attacks with your plants.
Lastly, Rosetta provides some survivability for herself and her team with Rose Barrier , which directly decreases the damage taken by allies.
| Skill | Effect | Applies |
|---|---|---|
| Bouquet | Plants the max number of roses in front of Rosetta. Existing roses are replanted and gain a level. Roses restore allies' HP and remove all debuffs. | |
| Iron MaidenRecommended | Grants Stout Heart and Iron Maiden to Rosetta. | |
| Lost Love | Causes planted roses to explode and scatter. Damage is based on a rose's level. New roses are planted where the exploded ones were. | |
| Mesmerize | Roses compel foes within range to attack them. | |
| Rose BarrierRecommended | Creates a barrier around a rose that grants DMG Cut to all allies within its radius. Effect strength is based on the rose's level. | |
| Rose TycoonRecommended | Replants all roses to be in front of Rosetta or around a locked'on'foe. Roses also inflict Poison to the surrounded foe. | |
| Sillage | Rosetta plants a rose where she stands and immediately dodges back. Roses planted by Sillage gain a level. | |
| Spiral RoseRecommended | A multi-hit vine attack that targets foes near Rosetta. Also causes all planted roses to attack. |

Party
Recommended team — Captain, Eugen, and Cagliostro
Make sure to bring Allies that can provide buffs and utility to further improve Rosetta's damage. The Captain and Cagliostro have several skills that focus on applying buffs to allies and debuffs to enemies. Lastly, Eugen serves as a secondary ranged DPS with access to crowd control skills.
